E-Cloth Home Cleaning Set — 8 Microfiber Cloths

An 8-piece set of e-cloth microfiber cloths, each designed for a specific job (kitchen, stainless steel, stovetop, bathroom, windows, glass and dusting), made to clean with water instead of chemical cleaners.

How we evaluated this product: this review is based on the manufacturer's published specifications, the product design and our ORDEN Score criteria. We did not test it in person. Check the product page for current sizes and details before buying.

What Is in the e-cloth Home Cleaning Set?

The set contains 8 microfiber cloths: five for cleaning, two for polishing and one for dusting. Instead of one generic cloth, each is designed for a specific surface:

  • Kitchen Cloth for counters and everyday kitchen grease.
  • Stainless Steel Cloth for appliances.
  • Range & Stovetop Cloth for the cooktop.
  • Bathroom Cloth for sinks, taps and tiles.
  • Window Cloth for washing glass.
  • Glass & Polishing Cloth for a streak-free finish.
  • Dusting Cloth, used dry.

How Cleaning With Water Only Works

e-cloth makes its cloths to clean with water instead of sprays. The basic method is to dampen the cleaning cloth, wipe, and then finish glass and shiny surfaces with the dry polishing cloth. For glass specifically, our e-cloth Glass & Polishing Cloth review explains the dry-on-damp technique step by step.

Water-only cleaning covers routine maintenance. Baked-on grease, limescale or months of soap scum still need a stronger cleaner first.

Washing and Care

  • Rinse and wring the cloths after each use.
  • Machine wash weekly with a little detergent, at up to 90°C (194°F). The Dusting Cloth should be washed at no more than 30°C (86°F).
  • Do not use fabric softener or dryer sheets: they coat the fibers and reduce how well the cloths pick up dirt.
  • Tumble dry or hang to dry.

In the US, e-cloth offers a 1-year or 100-wash promise on the set when the cloths are used and cared for as recommended.

Where It Fits in a Cleaning Routine

Having one cloth per job makes a routine faster: the kitchen and stainless steel cloths cover a daily kitchen wipe-down, and the bathroom, window and glass cloths cover the weekly bathroom. See our weekly cleaning routine for a room-by-room schedule.

Who It Is For

It suits people who want to use fewer cleaning sprays, or households with children or pets where chemical-free cleaning is a priority. If you only need a cloth for glass, the Glass & Polishing Cloth on its own is the smaller purchase.
