What Are the ClearSpace Storage Bins?
They are four clear, shatter-resistant plastic bins, each 11 x 8 x 6 inches, with easy-grip handles built into the sides. ClearSpace describes them as BPA- and chlorine-free and stackable, and markets them for pantries, refrigerators, cabinets and closets. The tall sides keep upright bottles from tipping over.
Will They Fit Your Shelves?
At 11 inches long, they suit standard pantry shelves of 12 inches or more in depth and most refrigerator shelves. At 6 inches tall, leave room above them to lift items out. Four identical bins line up neatly on a shelf, which makes it easy to assign one category per bin.
Best Uses
- Pantry: snacks, packets, sauces and baking extras. See how to organize a kitchen pantry.
- Refrigerator: group yogurts, cheeses or drinks so they come out in one pull.
- Under the sink: the tall sides keep spray bottles upright; see how to organize under the sink.
Limitations
They are open bins, so they do not seal out moisture or pests. Flour, sugar and grains belong in airtight containers, which can then sit inside a bin. For sealed bulk storage, see the IRIS WeatherPro box. ClearSpace recommends cleaning them with mild soap and water.
