What Is the mDesign Stackable Storage Bin?

It is a clear, open plastic bin with built-in handles, designed to group items on a shelf so you pull out the whole category instead of reaching for single items. mDesign lists it for the refrigerator, the freezer, kitchen cabinets and pantry shelves, and it stacks for vertical storage.

Where It Works

• Refrigerator: group yogurts, condiments or snacks so they come out in one pull.
• Freezer: keep bags of frozen vegetables or meal-prep portions together.

Before You Buy

mDesign sells similar bins in several sizes, so check the dimensions on the listing against your shelf depth, width and height, and against the inside of your fridge. Leave room above the bin to lift items out. It has no lid, so it is not the right choice for dry goods that need an airtight seal; use sealed canisters inside the bin or an airtight box such as the IRIS WeatherPro for bulk storage.

Bin or Drawer Container?

Stacked open bins are fine when you rarely need the bottom one. If you reach for the lower level every day, containers with pull-out drawers, like the mDesign pull-out drawer boxes, avoid unstacking.
