They are four clear plastic bins, each 10 inches long, 6 inches wide and only 3 inches tall, with a capacity of about 3 liters. mDesign markets them for kitchen cabinets and pantries, to group food, snacks, drinks and condiments so they come out in one pull instead of item by item.
Why a 3-Inch Bin
The low height is the point. A 3-inch bin keeps short items grouped without hiding them: you see the labels of everything inside from above. That makes it a good fit for:
- Sauce, seasoning and drink-mix packets.
- Snack bars and small bags of nuts.
- Short jars and tins.
- Shelves with little vertical clearance, including fridge shelves.
Tall bottles and boxes will stand well above the sides and can tip, so put those in a deeper bin.
